Why do you ask for money if you are a service of a non-profit organisation?

Being a non-profit organisation means that we don't run QR-Help to make a profit — any money we receive goes straight back into the service. It does not mean that the service is free to operate.

Keeping QR-Help running involves real, ongoing costs, including:

• Maintenance — continuously developing, updating and securing the system so your medical data stays available and protected.
• Servers, domain and infrastructure — hosting the platform so your rescue page can be reached reliably, at any time, from anywhere.
• Production and shipping — manufacturing the physical QR codes, cards and accessories and delivering them to you.
• Trademark and administrative fees — the legal costs of protecting the QR-Help name and operating as an organisation.

The subscription fee helps us cover these costs so we can keep the service available and continue improving it. We don't make any profit from it.
